4th Annual "Cause for Paws"
5K Run, 1 Mile Dog Walk & Festival

Bring your friends, family and furry friend to the 4th Annual "Cause for Paws!" The event will kick off with a 5K run, followed by a 1 mile dog walk and then a festival will take place in the afternoon. Click here for more information!

Basic Obedience Class with Trainer Dale Ward
Wednesday February 8 (Lasts 7 weeks)
6pm - 7pm
at Portsmouth Humane Society
Cost:  $150.00 per dog/handler (a portion of which will be donated to PHS)
*Class is limited to 6 handlers

Basic obedience is the foundation you need to establish leadership and a sound method of communication with your dog. This class is for you if you need to train your new dog in the basics, or whether you want to brush up on your skills. This course includes all the basic commands: Sit, Stay, Down, Recall, Loose Leash Walking, Leave it, and more!

You will learn why it is so important to train, how dogs learn, how to incorporate training into your everyday interactions with your dog and you will have the opportunity to get answers to your specific questions about your dog’s behavior.  The class is structured so that it is easy to follow, is accompanied by detailed homework sheets for you to take away from each class, and incorporates training exercises and games.  It’s a lot of fun, for both you and your dog!
